Hematologists created the term PRP for platelet-rich plasma in the 1970s. PRP has been utilized by many specialties since that time, including dentistry and orthopedics. The process is simple. Blood is collected in one small tube. The tube is placed in a centrifuge that separates out the red blood cells. The remaining platelet-rich plasma is ‘the good stuff’ that contains growth factors.

Diluted and Hyperdiluted Radiesse
Since its FDA approval in 2006, Radiesse has been used full-strength for volume, structure and collagen stimulation. However, by diluting or hyperdiluting this versatile product with saline and lidocaine, we can achieve greater collagen stimulation and address skin laxity, crepiness, sagging skin, and fine lines. It is effective in the face and all areas of the body; and is especially popular in the neck and décolleté for those difficult to smooth lines. In the buttocks, it can be mixed to volumize or to only lift and smooth the skin while decreasing the appearance of cellulite. By utilizing microcannulas, placing diluted and hyperdiluted Radiesse is painless and extremely safe. Three treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, are recommended.
Thread Lift
If you are wishing to lift and tighten facial tissues, Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are FDA-approved for aesthetic use in a newer procedure called a ‘thread lift’. These threads are the same medical-grade, absorbable sutures used in surgery. Miracu PDO threads are known to create less trauma and bruising. Patients also report that this procedure is more comfortable than other thread lifts.
A thread lift will produce results for up to 12 months. Your body will create collagen around the threads as it absorbs them slowly over 6 months.
Kybella
Kybella is currently the only FDA-approved injectable to treat the appearance of a double chin, but it is not just for submental (below the chin) fat anymore. It will permanently remove fat from any area of the body. It is often used to treat belly fat, back fat, and those stubborn saddle bags and love handles.
